These crock pot Brussels sprouts are the easiest recipe I’ve ever made. You’re going to love them! Sure, you could roast your Brussels sprouts or even saute them, but I love the ease of using my slow cooker. I can add everything in there, give it a stir, and walk away.

Why You’ll Love This Brussels Sprouts Recipe

  • Ease of Preparation: You simply halve the fresh Brussels sprouts, season them, and toss them into the slow cooker.
  • Tender Texture: The slow cooking process allows the flavors to meld together, creating a deliciously soft and flavorful dish.
  • Versatility: Brussels sprouts have become a trendy and versatile vegetable, and this recipe highlights their adaptability.

Recipe Ingredients

  • Brussel Sprouts
  • Garlic
  • Olive Oil & Butter
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Parmesan Cheese: Grab a fresh block of parmesan to freshly grate for the best flavor.

Fresh brussel sprouts, cut in half and seasoned.

  1. Prep: Grease the insert of a 5-quart slow cooker with cooking spray or a bit of butter.
  2. Add and Mix: Add the trimmed brussels sprouts, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper to the insert of your slow cooker. Mix everything to combine.
  3. Top: Top the sprouts mixture with butter.
  4. Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 2 to 3 hours, or until the brussel sprouts are tender. The bigger the brussel sprouts, the longer the cooking time.
  5. Add: Remove the cover and top the sprouts with Parmesan cheese. Stir in the Parmesan to combine.
  6. Serve: Taste for seasonings and adjust accordingly, then serve.

Recipe Tips

  • Crisp Up: If you want to crisp up your Brussels sprouts before serving, put them under the broiler for 3 to 4 minutes, or until browned.
  • Add Some Bacon: You can toss some crisp chopped bacon in at the end with the Parmesan cheese to boost the flavor power.
  • Finishing Touches: If you love Balsamic, you can drizzle these bad boys with a balsamic reduction once they are in the serving bowl.

Serving Suggestions

Just about any dinner can use a tasty green veggie on the side. These pair well with a bold flank steak recipe. They’re just as good with creamy mushroom chicken or my old bay roasted salmon. This creamy mashed cauliflower would be amazing, too!

How to Store and Reheat Leftovers

  • Transfer the veggies to an airtight container and store them in your refrigerator for 2 days.
  • To reheat, pop them in the oven at 375˚F until they are warm.
